Materials Science and Engineering
Materials Science and Engineering is the study of all materials, from those we see and use every day such as a glass or a piece of sport equipment to those used in aerospace and medicine. This is the design and discovery of new materials, particularly solids. The intellectual origins of materials science peduncle from the understanding, when researchers began to use analytical thinking from chemistry, physics and engineering to understand ancient, phenomenological observations in metallurgy and mineralogy.
