Biography

Dr. Petra Bele received her PhD from the University of Yamanashi, Japan and is a permanent senior staff member at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Physics department, since 2005. With a fundamental background in Electron Spin Resonance (EPR) and Magnetically Modulated Microwave Absorption (MMMA) on organic metals and superconductors she was amongst scientists, who developed the MMMA technique. Her actual scientific research field and expertise is Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) on nanomaterials and biological samples, besides the imaging technique, image processing and 3D-reconstruction on biological (proteins, DNA) and solid state samples (nanoparticles). Besides her scientific research, she was, or is still involved as scientific coordinator/administrator for several international projects funded under the European Commission. Dr. Bele is also a distinguished referee for several scientific journals and since 2007 member of the Editorial Board (Associate Editor) for the scientific journal “ Fuel Cells – From Fundamentals to Applied Systems.

Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

If Allied Academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on one of the rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Allied Academies is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an event. In the unlikely event of cancellation or postponement of the conference due to circumstances beyond Allied Academies reasonable control including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, and natural disaster, Allied Academies cannot be held responsible for any cost, damage or expense which may be incurred by registrants as a consequence of the event being postponed or cancelled. Due to any unavoidable circumstances if there is a change in venue of the conference, all the registered participants will be intimated immediately regarding the change.

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to is materialssummit@alliedconferences.org Details must include the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Before 90 days of the conference: 50% refund

Within 90 days of the conference: No refund
